For earning Master title in the Doll Artisan Guild School of Dollmaking (MDM)


 

Classic: Doll must be entered in category for authentic reproduction and created as such.

or
Modern
: Doll must be entered in category for Modern Dolls in Dimensional Doll Painting (DDP) with Painted Eyes. DDP dolls must have painted upper and lower lashes.

(Glue-on lashes are not allowed.)

 

Note for both Modern and Classic: Half-dolls, candy-container, surprise, and fortune-teller dolls are not allowed.

  

Notes:

Ø  The fee for DAGSD Master title must be paid at least three (3) months prior to graduation.

Ø  All seminar points must be completed at least two (2) months prior to graduation.

Ø  Ribbon must be awarded less than two (2) years before graduation.

(For additional titles, other dolls must be entered.)

 

Certification that you personally made the costume and underwear for this doll and that you did not do any of the work in seminar, class, or private lessons.



D.A.G. GRAND MASTER OF DOLLMAKING™ (GMDM)

AFFIDAVIT Information

For earning Grand Master title in the Doll Artisan Guild School of Dollmaking

 

Doll must be entered EITHER in a category for authentic reproduction and created as such, OR in category for Modern Dolls in Dimensional Doll Painting (DDP) with Painted Eyes. (DDP dolls must have painted upper and lower lashes. Glue-on lashes are not allowed.)

The following dolls are excluded:
All-Bisque, Doll-House, Baby, Toddler, Googly-eyed, and Painted-eye dolls as well as half-dolls, candy-container, “Surprise”, and fortune-teller dolls, and any doll under 10" (25cm).

Doll must be fully dressed with complete, customary, and typical doll ensemble, including complete underwear, stockings, shoes, wig, and appropriate hat all made by the contestant. Excluded are any type of uniform, folk- and ethnic costume. Hat or headdress, must be constructed from scratch. Straw hats or parts for hats made of straw, need to be constructed from straw-by-the-yard. Headdress includes, but is not limited to, arrangement of bows, ribbon, feathers, and flowers. Bow in hair is not sufficient as headdress. Hat or headdress to be created in harmony with the rest of the costume. Wig must be constructed from wefted mohair or human hair. Skin wig is not acceptable. Accessories and props, if any, must also be made by contestant.

D.A.G. TRIPLE CROWN  OF DOLLMAKING™ (TCDM)

 

AFFIDAVIT and RULES

For earning Triple Crown title in the Doll Artisan Guild School of Dollmaking

 

Doll must be entered EITHER in a category for authentic reproduction and created as such, OR in category for Modern Dolls in Dimensional Doll Painting (DDP) with Painted Eyes. DDP dolls must have painted upper and lower lashes. (Glue-on lashes are not allowed.)

Exclusions: All-Bisque, Doll-House, Baby, Toddler, Googly-eyed, and Painted-eye dolls as well as half-dolls, candy-container, “Surprise”, and fortune-teller dolls, and any doll under 10" (25cm), and any doll costumed as male.

Choose a doll that has feathered eyebrows and painted upper and lower lashes.

Doll must be fully dressed with complete, customary, and typical doll ensemble, including complete underwear, stockings, shoes, wig, and appropriate hat, all made by the contestant.

Exclusions: any type of uniform, folk- or ethnic costume.

Hat must be constructed from scratch. You may use straw, but it has to be sewn into a hat from straw-by-the-yard.

 Exclusions: crocheted/knitted hat/cap and one-piece felt hat.

Wig must be constructed from wefted mohair or human hair. (Skin wig is not acceptable.) Accessories and props, if any, must also be made by contestant.

If the requirements above are not met, 11 points will be deducted from score unless the appropriate box is checked below.

Ø High blue ribbon (Min. 95p.) must be awarded less than four (4) years before graduation.

Certification that you personally made the costume, underwear, wig, hat, stockings, shoes and any accessories and/or props for this doll and that I did not do any of this work in seminar, class, or private lessons.
